The Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering (CEE) at the Florida A&M University – Florida State University (FAMU-FSU) joint College of Engineering invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position. The successful candidate will work in areas that complement and strengthen existing faculty research and teaching in fluid dynamics. We expect to hire at the Assistant Professor rank, but well-qualified candidates will be considered at a higher rank.

Researchers at the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering are using artificial intelligence and satellite data to predict and prevent these toxic blooms.

Philip Sylvester, FAMU-FSU College of Engineering graduate and former football standout, will be inducted into the 2025 FAMU Sports Hall of FAME, honoring his rise from HBCU student-athlete to leadership in the railroad industry. 

FAMU-FSU Engineering alumnus Philip Sylvester, affectionately known as “Philly Phil,” “Dirty Thirty,” and the “Jackson County Jet,” could very well make history when he is inducted into the 2025 FAMU Sports Hall of Fame in just a few weeks.
