The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the Florida A&M University-Florida State University College of Engineering is pleased to invite applications from highly qualified individuals for teaching faculty positions in the field of Electrical and Computer Engineering in Tallahassee, Florida. This position is at the Teaching Faculty-I level, but well-qualified candidates will be considered for a higher rank.

New Technology Mitigates Flaws in Superconducting Wires

Developed through a partnership with industry, the research will help improve efficiency and resiliency for technology used in next-generation electric motors and other applications. 

When current flows through a wire, it doesn’t always have a perfect path. Tiny defects within the wire mean current must travel a more circuitous route, a problem for engineers and manufacturers seeking reliable equipment.
