On September 20, the FSU Career Center welcomed employers and students to the annual STEM Career and Internship Fair on the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering campus. Employers flock to the annual event to offer STEM-major students full-time research and internship positions.
After a year of waiting, Keishon Smith finally got to walk—in person—for his 2020 graduation ceremony at the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering. He like, so many 2020 graduates, had his senior year dampened by the pandemic.
“It was nice to have my parents watch me walk across the stage at graduation after a 15-month delay,” Smith said.” I’m the first one out of my immediate family to graduate college.”
“One of our FAMU doctorate students just got offered a research position at the premier materials and manufacturing directorate at the Air Force Research Lab,” Subramanian Ramakrishnan, a 3M distinguished professor at the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering, said. “I don’t think this has happened before.”
